1. Does the Alpicool car refrigerator use a compressor for cooling?
Yes, all Alpicool car refrigerators use compressor for cooling

2. Does the car fridge have a power cord?
Yes, our car refrigerators all contain an AC power adapter and a DC power cord.

3. What is the difference between LGCF45 and CF45? What does 'LG' mean?
Except for the compressor, LGCF45 and CF45 have the same configurations. LGCF45 uses LG compressor, and CF45 uses Chinese compressor. 'LG' refers to Korean LG compressor.

4. Which models use LG compressors?
We currently only use LG compressors for LGT50/LGT60/LGCF45/LGCF55.

5. How long is the warranty?
1 year warranty for the whole machine and 2 year warranty for the compressor.

6. Does it work like a regular cooler when it is not plugged in?
It can stay cool for about 4 hours without being plugged in.

7. How loud is the compressor when running on Eco mode?
When you use the refrigerator in your car and plug it into a 12V socket, the noise is almost imperceptible!

8. Can I simultaneously have different temperatures between the freezer and refrigerator?
Dear customer, you can chose the Alpicool T series, TA series,TAW series, they have dual temperature control function in one refrigerator for your needs.

9. The CF45 was delivered upside-down, not sure how long the unit was upside-down. Will the unit still work properly?
If the box was undamaged, do not plug it in until after reading the instructions, inspecting it, and after sitting right side up for the minimum of 12 hours or following the instructions in the booklet included. Plugging a refrigeration unit in after moving it at angles over 45 degrees can burn out the compressor motor as the fluids have not settled. Settling takes time. Ours works great! came on a wheelbarrow, moved onto a ship, unboxed on end, sat unplugged in the chosen location for the required time, plugged in and set up according to instructions.

10. Will the fan/compressor turn off when the unit reaches set temp, and then turn on again when it gets too warm?
Yes that is how it operates. It cools to the set temp, warms up and repeats.

11. Photos of the C40 show the top openings from the ends and sides. Which way is accurate?
You can switch the door opening to either direction with the already provided hinges.

12. Is it possible to replace the K18 with a 12V adapter?
Yes, you can get AC/DC and 12V power cables online. Make sure the adapter fits Alpicool.

13. Just received unit and it will not turn on. control panel lit up, it beeped and shut off. no response from ac or dc. what is the issue?
You have to hold the on button down for about 3-4 seconds. It won’t turn on by just touching the button.

Best investment I have ever made in my life

In 2019 right before Covid or whatever it was I call it the great hoax but that’s beside itself I just wanted to tell my story I lost my Mother and I began my nomadic lifestyle and I had watched a video on YouTube and this one Wander had your fridge /freezer and I purchased it thinking well maybe it would last a few months but it’s going on five years now maybe more and I have had it running with no problems whatsoever and it’s been in both stages 12 volts and Regular electricity and it still amazes me it’s gotten to be like a family member that actually doesn’t turn it’s back on me I can’t say enough about My Fridge/Freezer and I’m not getting Sponsored by AlpiCool or anything like that but to be honest with you I can’t really remember being with out it in my life now but I have always wanted to have a cover for my Fridge and go ahead get some more electric connections with the 12 volt connection to because I’ve actually wore down the ones that I originally got with my purchase

Great OTR frudge

I've read some of the bad reviews on here, and I just don't get it. We've not had a single issue with ours. We run it 4 to 5 days a week almost every week of the year. We've been running it this way since April of '01, so 3yrs and 3 months now. We've run it in at least 4 different tractors and have used both AC and DC power supplies. The temperature does fluctuate a bit more than I'd like, but not wildly. And that's probably the only gripe I have with it. This things been through the hottest summer days and coldest winter. We run all over the US and it's been knocked around down some of the roughest roads out there. Keeps on ticking.
The only suggestion I'd make to the manufacturer is more options for mounting it to the floor of a tractor. We wrap a ratchet strap up and through the handle which works but is not ideal.

Just carried this on a 5 day camping trip in 95°+ temps. It kept everything cool and saved me lots of ice money. It kept my drinks cold and all the grilling meats and condiments cold. We plugged it into our vehicle for diving to the campsite. One the camper was setup we plugged it in. The built in light made it nice for those late night drinks. Glad I bought it.

For those wondering, the app name in the IOS store is called “carfridgefreezer”. It’s fairly basic, and does everything necessary for normal operation. Pairing is mildly tricky due to where the Bluetooth receiver is within the fridge. That said, I’m happy with the purchase and it does well for my purposes. More specifically I bought it to use while camping and overlanding to help get rid of the need for ice, which nowadays can add up to a small fortune. I haven’t tried it in my pov, which has a 110v receptacle, or in my overlanding vehicle which has a 200w solar setup. Overall. I highly recommend it thus far.
