1. Does the Alpicool car refrigerator use a compressor for cooling?
Yes, all Alpicool car refrigerators use compressor for cooling

2. Does the car fridge have a power cord?
Yes, our car refrigerators all contain an AC power adapter and a DC power cord.

3. What is the difference between LGCF45 and CF45? What does 'LG' mean?
Except for the compressor, LGCF45 and CF45 have the same configurations. LGCF45 uses LG compressor, and CF45 uses Chinese compressor. 'LG' refers to Korean LG compressor.

4. Which models use LG compressors?
We currently only use LG compressors for LGT50/LGT60/LGCF45/LGCF55.

5. How long is the warranty?
1 year warranty for the whole machine and 2 year warranty for the compressor.

6. Does it work like a regular cooler when it is not plugged in?
It can stay cool for about 4 hours without being plugged in.

7. How loud is the compressor when running on Eco mode?
When you use the refrigerator in your car and plug it into a 12V socket, the noise is almost imperceptible!

8. Can I simultaneously have different temperatures between the freezer and refrigerator?
Dear customer, you can chose the Alpicool T series, TA series,TAW series, they have dual temperature control function in one refrigerator for your needs.

9. The CF45 was delivered upside-down, not sure how long the unit was upside-down. Will the unit still work properly?
If the box was undamaged, do not plug it in until after reading the instructions, inspecting it, and after sitting right side up for the minimum of 12 hours or following the instructions in the booklet included. Plugging a refrigeration unit in after moving it at angles over 45 degrees can burn out the compressor motor as the fluids have not settled. Settling takes time. Ours works great! came on a wheelbarrow, moved onto a ship, unboxed on end, sat unplugged in the chosen location for the required time, plugged in and set up according to instructions.

10. Will the fan/compressor turn off when the unit reaches set temp, and then turn on again when it gets too warm?
Yes that is how it operates. It cools to the set temp, warms up and repeats.

11. Photos of the C40 show the top openings from the ends and sides. Which way is accurate?
You can switch the door opening to either direction with the already provided hinges.

12. Is it possible to replace the K18 with a 12V adapter?
Yes, you can get AC/DC and 12V power cables online. Make sure the adapter fits Alpicool.

13. Just received unit and it will not turn on. control panel lit up, it beeped and shut off. no response from ac or dc. what is the issue?
You have to hold the on button down for about 3-4 seconds. It won’t turn on by just touching the button.

Life changing!

Omg if you’re still packing a heavy cooler and eating wet food stop! Get this! It’s amazing! I loved my yeti because it was beautiful but it was crazy heavy and hurt my back to take in and out of the vehicle. And let’s face it on real hot days it does NOT keep ice for 3+ days! This fridge is LIGHTER than the yeti was even when it’s full! Has a small enough footprint in the back of my Jeep JLU that it takes up less space in the back and holds MORE than any of my coolers that take up way more space! It’s super quiet and takes almost no energy to run! I can drive with it in my jeep on my trip on max cool to get it to temp then move it to eco in the night while I’m sleeping and it doesn’t drain my jeep battery. I did use it with my jackery explorer 500 the first night at camp I had it and when I plugged it in the jackery was at 100%. In the morning it was at 97%! I used the fridge on the jackery for 3 days and at the end the jackery still had 85% left and that was even after I charged my GoPro with it (which took up most of that juice!). I usually camp or overland by myself and I was worried the 55 would be too big for me. But it was only $20 more than the 45 and took up the same foot print space in the back. It was just slightly taller. So I decided to get it and was worried. Until I got it! It was perfect for even just me. I was able to pack a variety of foods without limiting my options for space and kept ALL my beers cold for the weekend! If you’re on the fence about this. Just get it! I hesitated for many years and wish I wouldn’t have. And this brand is way more affordable than many others but if you read the reviews the satisfaction and value exceeds those more expensive brands. I do have to say, though one common thread I read on the reviews was the temperature reading isn’t 100% accurate. It’s off by about 2°. I found that to be true too. But there is an app for the Alpicool that you can download that helps keep you updated on the temperature information and you can adjust accordingly. It’s fast and simple and works amazing!

We bought our Alpicool fridge/freezer combo a few years ago. It has held up well for us. We stay off grid, mainly in the Arizona desert for a month or two at a time. The frig works very well with moderate temps but struggles a bit when camper gets hot (>100). But all things considered it has been a money saver for us. No more regular coolers or going into the nearest town every 3 days for ice! it will keep ice cream and freeze non frozen items. However, it is not a regular home frig so may take longer to come to freeze items, especially when not turned on to precool ahead of time. I usually throw in a couple of pre-frozen items when first powering it up so that it cools off quicker. Love this frig!!

Bought the 55 liter fridge for a teardrop trailer in September of 2021. The fridge has performed flawlessly and is still going strong. Yes, the latch is plastic and you have to be careful of letting the lid slam shut, it will break. Outside of that, it is quiet, doesn't use significant energy and will serve you well in a car or trailer. Runs perfectly off of my solar panel or a Jackery 1000 as a back up when needed. High recommend,

Took it camping in early spring, fit well on my truck's back seat (crew cab) and kept my food and drinks cold on a 2 day trip (only powered while driving; used a supplemental Freez pack for overnight since my truck doesn't have a second battery). Ran quietly and works well so far. Like others recommended, I'll get a digital thermometer.
